Rancho Las Lomas Wedding
October 30, 2009
Amy and Brian were married a few weeks ago at the beautiful Rancho Los Lomas in the hills of Orange County, California. Rancho Las Lomas weddings are always a treat. This place is awesome! Hidden in Silverado Canyon the grounds of Rancho Las Lomas are unique and complete with tigers, zebras and other exotic animals! Not to mention the staff is top notch!
Amy and Brian are an awesome couple who are goofy, funny and they were great to work with. We circled just about the entire grounds of Rancho Las Lomas, including the parking lot, doing pictures of them and it was so worth it! Please check out the pictures, slide show and links below. Thanks for looking at my blog!

Laguna Cliffs Marriott Wedding
October 25, 2009
Rachelle and Chris were married in late September at the beautiful Laguna Clffs Marriott Resort in Dana Point, California. It has been a few years since I last did a Laguna Cliffs Wedding so I was greatly looking forward to it. It was a beautiful day!
When my assistant and I arrived the bride, Rachelle, and her bride’s maids were all ready for us so we went straight to photographing the girls around the grounds of the Laguna Cliffs Marriott. It was a perfect day both for infrared as well as my new addition Holga! It is so much fun to shoot weddings with the Hoga! Check out the slide show and pictures below! As usual I included some links to a some of the other vendors involved as well.

Black Gold Golf Club Wedding
October 8, 2009
So I was one of those photographers that went kicking and screaming into the world of digital photography. It has been several years now of shooting almost completely digital at my weddings and I have grown very used to it and even fond of it. At the same time I have always had a love for film and I finally came up with an excuse to start shooting some film at weddings again. It is Holga! There are many things that can be imitated digitally but Holga shooting is one that is too time consuming to try and digitally imitate for wedding photography.
Erin and Rich’s Wedding at Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda, California was my first wedding where I shot the Holga and I am hooked. I included some Holga shots in the slide show and the blog!
In addition to having fun with my new toy I got to shoot at one of my favorite Orange County Wedding venues. Black Gold Golf Club is a beautiful venue for weddings located in the hills of Yorba Linda in Northern Orange County. Not only is the location awesome complete with its rolling hills, waterfalls and beautiful light but the in house coordinator Julie Spencer is very professional and a treat to work with! If you are considering a golf course wedding I highly recommend Black Gold Golf Club.
Please have a look at my pictures of Erin and Rich’s wedding, their wedding slide show and the links to some of the other vendors…

Firestone Vineyard Wedding
October 6, 2009
I’ve been to Crossroads at Firestone several times but this is the first time I’ve been to the original Firestone Vineyard for a wedding. Again I have to thank my friend Andrew Van Gundy for having me there to help him shoot this wedding!
Santa Ynez, Solvang, Los Olividos and other Santa Barbara area Vineyard and Winery Weddings are fast becoming my favorite to shoot! Please have a look at Erika and Craig’s Wedding slide show and pictures and perhaps you will see why.
Don’t forget to have a look at my links including Santa Barbara Wedding Photographer Andrew Van Gundy, DJ KIK Entertainment and of course Firestone Vineyard.

Crystal Cathedral Wedding
October 6, 2009
A wedding at the Crystal Cathedral! Believe it or not I grew up in Orange County and I had never been to the Crystal Cathedral until Anne and Jayson’s Wedding. I must thank fellow Santa Barbara Wedding Photographer Andrew Van Gundy for inviting me to help him out on this wedding.
Andrew and I started at Jayson’s moms house in Orange, California. This is no ordinary house! It is a well maintained Victorian constructed before the turn of the century!
After that it was off to the famous Crystal Cathedral for the wedding and reception. I had a minor problem at this wedding because my external strobe broke but thanks to the light emitting from the building at the Crystal Cathedral and some trickery with my Canon flashes I was able to pull off the night time reception pretty good!
Please check out my pictures, the slide show and links to Andrew Van Gundy and the Crystal Cathedral below!

Gainey Vineyard Wedding
October 3, 2009
What an awesome day this was! We’ll aside from the southern style humidity that is. Melissa and Brandon were married late August at the beautiful Gainey Vineyard just north of Santa Barbara, California. Gainey Vineyard is one of my favorite venues around Santa Barbara. Although it is well known I consider it a little underrated. The atmosphere and staff are top notch! I really think more couples should consider this wedding venue!
I got to be there this time thanks to my friend Andrew Van Gundy who needed someone to help him out for the day. I’m always pleased and grateful to work with Andrew if I am not booked because his weddings seem to always include the coolest brides and grooms and some of the most beautiful wedding locations in and around Santa Barbara. This one was no exception!
We started with the bride and groom getting ready at this quaint little inn in Solvang, CA called the Wine Valley Inn. The Wine Valley Inn is really beautiful and has an enchanted feel to it!
Although it was a little rainy Melissa barely worried about it. She was gonna have a great day no matter what! Just as I predicted the rain cleared up right before the ceremony. That always seems to happen! Welcome to Southern California! Then it was on to Gainey Vineyard for the Wedding and Reception. It was truly beautiful. Have a look for yourself! My pictures of the day, including my signature Infrared, a slide show and a link to the other vendors involved; The Wine Valley Inn, Gainey Vineyard and Andrew Van Gundy are below…
